Carolyn Davis, FNP-BC
Carolyn Davis is a nationally certified family nurse practitioner who specializes in pain management, weight loss and medication assisted treatment for addiction. She completed her Bachelor of Science degree at Boston College University and earned her Master of Science degree at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
She has been working in her chosen field for greater than 18 years. Her training and vast experience lends the ability to provide a multifaceted, comprehensive and integrative approach for treatment. She believes compassion and effective communication are vital in order to accomplish her patient’s goals. She has a special interest in empowering patients through education and evidenced based research. She encourages active engagement and provides each patient with the tools to cope with their physical and psychological barriers to achieve their personal best.
Jennifer H. Drake, ANP-BC
Jennifer has been a board certified nurse practitioner since 2009. She received her BS in kinesiology from the College of William & Mary in Virginia. She received her BS and MS in nursing from Virginia Commonwealth University. She worked as an RN in acute care surgery at VCU Health Systems while completing her graduate degree. She moved to North Carolina in 2009 and has been working as a nurse practitioner since. She worked for 4 years in a weight loss clinic and spent 4 years as an NP in outpatient vein surgery prior to starting at Carolina Pain and Weight Loss in 2015. Jennifer is married and she currently lives with her husband in Troutman.

Lee Marie Hinson FNP-C
Lee-Marie has been a Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner since 2013. She received both her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Nursing at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Professionally, she has a special interest in Pain Management and incorporating non-pharmacologic adjunctive therapies for pain relief. Lee-Marie is also passionate about wellness and promoting healthy lifestyles. At our clinic, she strives to support and encourage each patient to achieve their health and weight loss goals.
Norm Carlson PA-C
William Norman Carlson, PA-C joined Carolina Pain and Weight Loss in 2017. A Philadelphia native, he graduated in 1996 from Alderson Broaddus University in Phililppi, WV, Cum Laude, and after spending 15 years in Primary care, he has spent the last 8 years in Pain Management. He holds memberships in the Pain Society of the Carolinas and the North Carolina Association of Physician Assistants. He has received his Suboxone exemption and participates in Opioid Addiction Treatment and management of this important and underserved part of the population. His clinical interests include medical management of pain, treatment of muscle and joint pain with trigger point injections and joint injections and supervised Medically Assisted Treatment for Addiction. His knowledge and experience, combined with his witty personality make his patients feel both welcomed and well managed. “GO EAGLES!”
